Papyrus is well known at least by name. Growing famously on the banks of the Nile it has had many many uses over the years, most famously in the production of paper (hence the name). It will grow to 2m+ in the right conditions! with its statuesque stems and delicate feathery heads this is one of the most remarked on plants here at the nursery.
Papyrus adds a tropical feel to sunny areas. This is an easily grown plant but needs warm temperatures to thrive. It does best in full sun when grown as an annual in the Midwest. Plant in moist to wet soil or cultivate in a container in order to regulate moisture levels more easily.
